Described by some as the best mountain bike enduro event of its kind in the world bar none, the Dyfi Enduro mountain bike event is more popular than ever. So much so, that the entry limit has already been reached. However, if you are in the area it's worth catching the start of over 500 riders heading out from the leisure centre and snaking out of town up the road to enter the Dyfi Forest.
It is billed as a long distance, approx 60km, non-competitive (ed. yeah right!) mountain bike challenge with the hill climbs mainly on forest fire roads and plenty of technically demanding downhill singletrack.
This year it is hoped that with some route tweaks to avoid bridleway trails and therefore be able to list finishers times.
Location: Start at Machynlleth Leisure Centre 11 a.m.
