Walkers and bikers are invited to try the delights of the many trails and routes to be found in the forests, hills and mountains surrounding Betws y Coed.
The festival programme will offer a combination of guided tours, coaching, workshops and evening entertainment. The aim is to provided something for all ages and abilities. Families and those with little or no experience may wish to sign up for one of the classic biking tours or one of the lowland or forest walks. Experienced mountain bikers may wish to try their hand on some of the more challenging routes and hone their technique with a little coaching from the guides who will be leading the tours. And experienced walkers could sign up for a day of scrambling in the mountains of Snowdonia.
For those more interested in gaining know-how there will be a series of workshops in areas such as Bike Maintenance and Mountain Navigation. And in the evening there will be an opportunity to watch, listen and be inspired by the daring adventures of keen activists.
Lack of fitness is no excuse as there will be short tours lasting just a few hours running alongside the more arduous all day long options. And if you need equipment this will be available for hire from Beics Betws and Snowdonia Cycle Hire. Trailer bikes will also be available for people with small children.
