A special exhibition celebrating mountaineering culture in Snowdonia will be open to the public at St Julitta’s Church, Capel Curig from 19th July.
The Friends of St Julitta’s Church/Cyfeillion Eglwys Santes Julitta are in the process of setting up the exhibition which focuses primarily upon the events and characters associated with the Ogwen Valley climbers’ Club hut, Helyg, the Royal Hotel and the Pen y Gwryd Hotel.
The event will be officially opened at 3.30 pm on Sunday 18th July by early Plas y Brenin director, John A Jackson. Jim Perrin will also be hosting a reading evening at Plas y Brenin on the Sunday evening.
(NB. the exhibition will run until 5th September, and then again over 10th – 12th , 17th – 19th September.)
