The Snowdonia Society spring conference will focus upon the future of sustainable energy - including discussions of the controversial issue of wind farms.
A major factor in the long-term conservation of the Snowdonia National Park is the way we generate and use energy. The ecology and landscape of Snowdonia are being affected by climate changes, which are now generally attributed to the warming effect of carbon dioxide emissions on the global atmosphere.
At the same time efforts to reduce these emissions, like energy efficient building design or renewable energy installations, are often perceived as damaging the landscape.
The conference provides an opportunity to explore different viewpoints on this subject, offering talks by expert speakers, room for discussion and a field trip.
Location: Penmaenuchaf Hall, Penmaenpool, Dolgellau
