There'll be no shortage of youthful energy and talent on show at the Welsh Final of the BMC Youth Climbing Series taking place at the Beacon Climbing Centre
The highest finishing climbers from the two previous rounds, for each of the north and south Wales areas, will be pitted against each other to battle it out for a place in the Grand Final. Each competitor will try to complete three routes and three boulder problems.
The top three in each category from the Welsh Final will go on to compete in the Grand Final against the other BMC Areas, Ireland and the two areas from Scotland on 15th June 2013 at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena.
There are five age categories, with separate girls and boys competitions, that follow the IFSC (International Federation of Sport Climbing) system based on the year of birth.

The other seven sports under consideration are baseball/softball, squash, karate, wakeboarding, wushu, roller sports and wrestling. It will be decided in September this year which of these sports will be chosen. You can show your support for the bid by liking IFSC’s 2020 Olympics Facebook page www.facebook.com/SportClimbing2020
