Olly Sanders kicks-off a series of free spring lectures at the Caban
café (Saturday 16th March), on expeditions around the world by north Wales based climbers and kayakers. The bar will be open from 6.30 p.m. and the illustrated lecture will start at 7.30 p.m.
Olly Sanders said: "Expeditioning plays a large part in my life, whether it be on big walls, in the greater ranges or sea kayaking."
Olly sanders has had many successes and a few failures in the Himalayas, Patagonia, Peru, Alaska and Africa along the way. The first-ascent of the 1200 metre Supa-Dupa Couloir
(ED4) in Alaska was nominated for the prestigious Piolet d'Or Award in 2004.
Last year Olly together with Lee Roberts and Dave Rudkin climbed an impressive new 800 metre route in north-west Greenland. Drowning in a Sea of Light
was climbed alpine-style with free climbing difficulties up to E5 6b.
As a Sea Kayak Coach, Advanced Open Water Instructor and MIC (Mountaineering Instructor Certificate) holder based in north Wales, Olly runs his business, Rock & Sea Adventures
, offering kayaking, canoeing and climbing courses.
