Runners should register between 1000 and 1300 hrs at the Electric Mountain Visitor Centre (GR: SH581260) in Llanberis. The Race starts at 1400hrs from the nearby fields and follows the Llanberis Path to the top of the mountain where the competitors turn around and retrace their steps with the aid of gravity.
The male course record stands at 1hr 02mins 29secs (1985) and the women's is 1hr 12mins 48secs (1993). There is the incentive of £500 for the first male and female to break these records. As always there will be a festival feel about the fields at the start and finish lines with attractions for the children and refreshments available. By the time the runners get back to Llanberis they deserve some support from the spectators.
