All Welsh based climbers and hill walkers are invited to join the BMC Cymru climbing and hill walking fun day incorporating the AGM on Saturday 24th November at Plas y Brenin (PyB) National Mountain Centre, Capel Curig.
There will be free access to the PyB climbing indoor wall all day and a complimentary meal plus slide shows in the evening. It is also proposed to run some free workshops during the day. These include: navigation with only a map and compass, navigation with a GPS, coaching movement skills, video climbing analysis, self-rescue and the geology of Snowdonia.
Each workshop needs six people to run it so if you're interested please let Mike Raine know at: email@example.com. Places must be booked and confirmed by 5th November.
The evening meeting incorporating a short AGM with the election of officers will start at 6.00pm. Topics up for general discussion include: do we want a BMC National Officer for Wales? any thoughts on footpath work on the approach to Dinas Cromlech? do we want to see a pitched path to conserve the deteriorating scree slopes that have SSSI designation? Lower Pen Trwyn access and BMC Cymru priorities for 2008?
